Please join us for this exciting event! The afternoon includes expert speakers on STPRA's priority issues, exhibitors who will display their products and services of interest, and silent & live auctions that include trips, hunts, and other exciting items! The evening also includes a seated dinner, live music, and an open bar. Our annual fundraising allows us to expand our mission by providing education and information to our members, the general public, and to elected and administrative officials. Our work has made a significant difference to the state of Texas. With your help, we can continue making a difference for a better South Texas!
This year we are adding something exciting to our silent auction! We are including online bidding for guests who will not be able to attend the event. And we are also introducing on-site mobile bidding for silent auction items. No more pen and paper. You can be absolutely anywhere at the event and have the ability to bid on your favorite auction items by using your smart phone! It's so easy and fun! Not to mention competitive since bidders remain anonymous! To learn more, visit the page Mobile/Online Bidding!
We hope to see you on October 11th!
FEATURED SPEAKER: WYMAN MEINZER
Wyman Meinzer is the only official State Photographer of Texas, named so in 1997 by the Texas State Legislature, an honor he still holds today. Born in 1950, Wyman was raised on the 27,000 acre League Ranch as a cowboy and consummate outdoorsman, in Knox County of the Texas rolling plains.
After 39 years as a professional photographer, Wyman has photographed and/or collaborated on 27 large format books, and his images having appeared on more than 250 magazine covers throughout America. His writing endeavors have also appeared in dozens of magazines and he has received many honors for his conservation efforts.
David Baxter, former editor of Texas Parks & Wildlife Magazine, described Meinzer best when he called him a man with the eye of a nineteenth-century impressionist painter and the soul of a buffalo hunter.
